Parkinson's Care Partners Support Groups

Caring for family members begins at home. Yet the challenges faced by care partners are many. Care partners sometimes feel alone or overwhelmed. This makes it hard to cope and can lead to depression.

A lifeline of support: "I look forward each week to talking with other caregivers who are battling…" continued here

SOWN provides meaningful support in a professionally-facilitated group setting. Care partners connect with others in similar situations, offering mutual support, learning stress-reducing techniques, exchanging resources, and sharing their experiences and expertise. This is conducted by teleconference so care partners can participate from home or work.

In collaboration with The Parkinson Council and Penn Medicine, SOWN provides this program free of charge to all Parkinson's disease care partners in the tristate area.
